A gift to say thank you

Sinead and Julius Ainsworth felt compelled to raise money for Evelina London for the pivotal role staff played in their darkest hours with baby Fergus.

The Ainsworth’s organised a charity ball in their local community resulting in over £30,000 being raised, which was split between five charities and organisations involved in Fergus’s care.

The generosity of the local community in terms of donations and support on the evening was astounding - with donations for the auction ranging from weekends on a yacht, to a wine-tasting vineyard tour, designer shoes and more.

Sinead said of the Evelina London Staff:

‘I will never forget you as you were integral in saving Fergus’ life during the first hours when the South Thames Retrieval Service (STRS) brought him into the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
You were also by our side on his road to recovery, an incredible support to our whole family. We would not have gotten through the ordeal without your expertise and wise and kind words of encouragement. This £6,000 cheque is just a small representation of the gratitude we feel!’

Evelina London in return are grateful for all of Sinead and Julius fundraising efforts.
