Physio team take on Rough Runner obstacle course

07 November 2017

On 16 September, Evelina London physiotherapy staff - Hayley, Felicity, Anna and Steph - took part in a 10KM Rough Runner Obstacle Course for Evelina London... because it’s 'quite simply an amazing place'!

Six months ago Anna signed the entire team up to do the Rough Runner. All members invited to take part responded with an enthusiastic “yes, why not” and “let’s do the 10km run not the 5km run”.

As the day of fun dawned, however, the team received a reminder email and realised that none of them had been running, training or exercising! Despite the lack of training, adrenaline on the day fuelled the team, and they were able to successfully complete the run, raising over £600 for the charity.

The determined quartet raised money for Evelina London quite simply because "it is an amazing place that provides great care to very poorly children".

The foursome commented: 'We all love working here and want to raise funds for the physiotherapy department to help us continue to provide the best (and most fun) physiotherapy out there!'

The Rough Runner course was far from plain sailing. You can see all the slips, stumbles and successes of the day in the video below.
