Set to open in 2022, the new centre will help your hospital continue to do what it does best: delivering specialist care to some of the sickest children in the South East. The five-storey building will house two new operating theatres and specialist clinical facilities as well as space for future services.

“We are delighted to begin work on our new day surgery centre,” says Marian Ridley, Director of Evelina London. “It will provide diagnostic and day surgical care in one setting, will help reduce the time children and young people wait for their treatment and improve the experience for families.”

Located just next door to Evelina London’s current site, the centre is part of an ambitious plan to ensure the hospital continues to support children and young people who need its specialist care.

“Our exciting plans to expand our children’s hospital will mean we can provide outstanding healthcare for even more children and young people who need us, meeting their needs now and in the future,” says Marian Ridley.
“This will help us to realise our vision for Evelina London to become a comprehensive specialist children’s centre providing accessible, responsive 24/7 specialist care for the sickest children when they need it,” she adds.
