Family fun afternoon - raising money for Evelina London
01 September 2017
Katie and Toby Ballard will be hosting an event in September to raise funds for Evelina London as their son Benji has been treated there for many years.
They have already raised £25,000 over the last few years for Evelina London.
A sunny day is all they need for this year’s KTB Charity Garden Party and Outdoor Concert being hosted by Katie and Toby, on Sunday 3 September at Mill Meadows Farm, Bexley Village.
There will be two open-air performances from Eynsford Concert Band; a barbecue, provided by Hamers in Bexley Village; tea and cakes; and children’s activities, including a bouncy castle, fire engine, face-painting and sports, to name a few!
Katie and Toby, directors of The KTB Group, together with their friends and family, have raised more than £25,000 for Evelina London since their son Benji was born with complex health needs in 2010.
The couple has previously organised several hugely successful events including a food festival, a jubilee party, a football tournament and a few casino nights and they hope this year’s family garden party and open-air concert will soar their fundraising to more than £30,000!
Diagnosed on the day of his birth with a chromosomal abnormality, Benji, now seven, is a regular visitor to Evelina London for a variety of treatments. He has had a multitude of operations, including life-saving open-heart surgery.
‘The staff at Evelina do a wonderful job and our family fundraising is a way of giving back for this. This year’s event is again very well supported by our local community, our friends and family but we welcome everyone to our home to join us for a wonderful family event to help support our family’s charity.’
