Who we are
About Evelina London
Evelina London Children's Hospital treats children with all kinds of health conditions. It is the UK’s leading hospital for paediatric heart services as well as a specialist in kidney transplants and dialysis, cleft lip surgery, metabolic conditions, allergy and neurology.
The hospital treats children of all ages; from babies in the womb, through to young adulthood. 50,000 children are treated at Evelina London each year, and, every day, 300 children pass through its doors. Its mission is to provide world-leading treatment and care for each child and every family.
Evelina London is an award-winning building that was specifically designed around the needs of children and their families: themed floors, a conservatory, rooms with views, sunlight and fresh air, make their hospital stay as comfortable as possible. State-of-the-art facilities at Evelina London include an MRI scanner, kidney dialysis unit, three operating theatres and 140 in-patient beds.
Because Evelina London is on the same site at St Thomas’ Hospital, which is for adult care, there is a seamless transition in treatment for children with on-going illness. Treatment can continue in the same place, still carried out by the same excellent doctors and nurses who are familiar with their medical history.
Every donation you make goes towards improving care for sick children. This can be spent on everything from life-saving research and the latest medical equipment, to the little things that help make a stay in hospital less scary for young patients.
