Gift in your will
Thanks to the kindness of a widowed gentleman in 1869, the original Evelina Hospital for Sick Children opened.
Funded by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild, whose wife, Evelina, and premature baby son had died three years earlier, the four-storey hospital opened on Southwark Bridge Road, London. Public donations during its early years ensured the Evelina was able to continually improve its facilities and services.
Today, the support of our generous donors is just as important. Now located at St Thomas’ Hospital, Evelina London Children’s Hospital offers a wide range of services meeting the needs of south London’s children while offering highly specialist care for children from across south east England and beyond.
We treat more than 50,000 children of all ages, from babies in the womb to young adults, each year. Our mission is to provide world-leading care for every child and family we see.
Leaving a gift in your will to Evelina London is easy to arrange, will not cost you anything now and is a wonderful way to give something back, perhaps to acknowledge the treatment and care that you or a loved one received.
All gifts, no matter the size, make a real difference in helping us provide the best possible care. Even leaving a small percentage of your estate, after you have provided for friends and family, can have a lasting impact on the future of Evelina London and how it supports sick children and their families.
